UPDATE: Sophie is in whelp; due date July 31st! (this will be her last litter) SOPHIE PUPS ON THE
WAY! SHE'S DUE THE END OF JULY. WE'RE VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS
BREEDING. TO SEE MORE
INFORMATION ABOUT SOPHIE AND THE SIRE READ ON BELOW:
Champion Sylvan Argent Power Surge, “Matthew”, "special" from the start, was sired by Ch. Sylvan Argent Back N Black (full brother to the all time winning Rough Collie, SAX)! His beautiful dam is Ch. Sylvan Argent Bootiful. When Matthew was just a year, he entered the show ring for the first time. In two weekends of showing he won 5 majors, finishing his Championship in those first days of showing! Matthew returned to the ring last Fall for the AKC Eukanuba Classic Show where he went Best Bred By Exhibitor and 2nd Award of Excellence. Matthew continues to sparkle with “special” by siring beautiful winning pups! His first litter on the ground was produced with beautiful Grand Champion Barksdale Sylvan Argent Bellissima. The pups have just turned one. To celebrate, his son "Austin" finished his Championship! One of his other sons from that litter, needs only 3 minor points to finish and one of his daughters has a 4 point major win over specials! All of these wins have been from the Puppy Class or Bred By Exhibitor class. What’s most exciting to us is the dam of Matthew’s first litter is a first cousin to our Sophie! We are expecting a beautiful ‘repeat’ performance by Matthew with this litter with our treasured Sophie!

Dam - Champion Belfair Amazing Grace, "Sophie" What 3 Day Old Collie Pups Look Like We are located in North Bend, Washington (30 minutes east of Seattle). We will be moving the end of June to Issaquah, just 9 miles from our present home. Sophie was just bred last Friday, June 1, 2012. We expect the pups the end of July. Matthew and Sophie's pups will look like their mother and father and will be either tri-color or blue merle in color and have the "rough" (long) coat. Both Sophie and Matthew are very intelligent and we expect the puppies should excel in agility, obedience and herding.
The litter will be raised in our home with an abundance of human
love and interaction throughout each day. Of Sophie's two previous
litters all of her puppies have been confident, fun loving and sweet.
Additionally they have been appropriately outgoing and inquisitive.
Sophie and her second litter at 10 days old Collies are calm and ideal indoor companions yet active and playful outside. Don't let the coat fool you, contrary to what many assume, they do not continually shed like many breeds. They also do not require frequent bathing and are not 'stinky' dogs! We love to take our Collies to the beach and no matter how much wet sand and dirt they end up 'wearing' after a good wet romp on the beach; it all comes out once they dry an hour or so later. And we don't need to rinse them off either! The correct Collie coat resists dirt. Collies are excellent family dogs as they adore people, especially children and other pets. Fun loving and devoted, your Collie will be most happy with you, their people. If you’re looking for a wonderful companion dog, a Collie is one of the best.
